You installed a new theme and you would like to create a custom Home Page instead of the classic blog page.

How to Create a Custom Home Page with WordPress?
First of all you have to create a new page under the tab Pages>Add New
Usually you can select a custom template on the right side in the box Page Attributes. With our themes for example you can choose Full Width.
Now you can click on Publish.
But How Can I Set the Custom Home Page?
Go to the tab Settings>Reading
Put the flag on A static page (select below), then you can select your page for the front page.
If you create an empty page with the name Blog you can select it for the blog section.
